The CFO is responsible for preparation and oversite of all financial operations and reporting including the annual budget, annual financial statements, annual debt statements, supplemental debt statements, annual audit, debt analysis, payroll and pension reports, long-range fiscal planning and other finance-related duties.  In addition to supervising staff, the CFO is responsible for performing work involved in receipts and disbursement accounting and auditing of funds and in negotiation of loans and the sale of bonds for the Municipality.  Must have extensive working knowledge of all laws and regulations in the State of NJ.  Proficiency in computer applications such as Edmunds Gov Tech Financial management software, outlook and excel is essential. This position requires a current CMFO license from the State of NJ.  The candidate should have a clear understanding of NJ reporting requirements for revenues and expenditures and be able to provide leadership and clear direction to the Finance Department and should possess outstanding analytical skills. Additional certifications will be considered favorably. Must have at least 5 years licensed NJ Municipal CFO experience.
