Welcome to the spring of 2008!
Mayor DiAnne Gove
Spring is in the air!

The birds are singing and the flowers are trying to "pop" up.

Weekend traffic is getting a bit more crowded, so we know our visitors and "snow birds" are beginning to return to our beautiful island.

Important Updates:

  • LBT has just organized a Special Activities Committee. The goal of this committee is to organize and promote recreational, educational and artistic endeavors within the Township. Interested volunteers, please contact Kyle ext 258 or (ominski@longbeachtownship.com).
  • LBT has contracted with Global Connect and will shortly be installing Reverse 911. This feature will be able to contact all our taxpayers when there is an immediate emergency of any type.
  • LBT is now part of the NJ Special Needs Registry. This is sponsored by the Office of Emergency Management and Office of Homeland Security & Preparedness. To register, please link to LBT Police Department.
  • Ocean Boulevard from 31st St. to 80th St. will be getting a "face lift". About the first week in April, Ocean County Road Dept. will be paving that area. Please be patient---once completed, LBT will have a beautiful road to drive, skate, walk and run. Please make arrangements to park off of the street during that week. If you have any questions please contact the Dept. of Public Works ext. 246
  • Beach Badge sales have begun - visit our beach badge office
                               Friday & Monday 9am to 4pm

                               Saturday & Sunday 9am to 3pm

Early May - opening seven days a week

  • Spring cleaning --- please remember to recycle -- see Public Works for further information.
  • Recycle household batteries ---Drop off containers are conveniently located at the front and rear entrances of the Long Beach Twp. Municipal Building, 6805 Long Beach Blvd., the Brant Beach Post Office and the Long Beach Island Health Department.
Enjoy Spring 2008!
